It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year. The school has been cleaned extremely well over the summer time and is ready to receive your children. As well, the staff is excited to see all of the children and will do so at our welcome assembly and liturgy on Tuesday September 4 in the school gym beginning at 9:00am. Students will meet their teacher/all staff and classmates during our morning gathering. Our year 2 Kindergarten students will be greeted at the Kindergarten doors (facing the north-west side of the school) by staff at 8:50am. I look forward to seeing all of the year 1 and year 2 students on Friday September 7.
As Principal, I plan to continue serving this wonderful community with ambition, pride and commitment in order to ensure a quality Catholic education for your children. It is my belief that every person has the ability to demonstrate respect and to make a positive difference in the school and its wider environment. Together with students and staff, I will continue to build upon the strong home-school-parish partnership in concert with St. Margaret Mary parish.
As Pope John Paul II, said,
“The mission of the Catholic school is the integral formation of students, so that they may be true to their condition as Christ's disciples and as such work effectively for the evangelization of culture and for the common good of society.”
I look forward to interacting with all of our families this year especially those who are new to our school. Please feel at ease to contact me at the school with any questions, concerns, or just to introduce yourself. I am excited to work together with you to enhance your child’s educational experiences.
Yours in Catholic Education,
