St. Kateri's school choir sings remotely to spread Christmas cheer

You can’t have Christmas without Christmas music.

Which is why pandemic or not, the choir at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Elementary School made sure to bring the holiday cheer singing remotely, but together, “Oh, what a Special Night.”

“Our choir leaders, Francesca Spanier and Kim Peachey, wanted to have the choir perform for our Virtual Christmas Concert, but since because health and safety protocols do not allow us to sing inside or outside, we gave a song for the students to practice at home and they were invited to submit a video recording of them singing it,” said Principal Tracey Brown.

Thanks to Peachey’s friend, a music producer with Attic Digital Productions, the clips were combined to create a festive video featuring all the singers together.

In lieu of compensation for the production, a donation was made to the Good Shepherd.

“We are so grateful for their generosity.”

“Merry Christmas from our school community!”
