Did you know that 1 in 6 people in Canada has a speech, language or hearing disorder?

If you have concerns about your child’s speech, language or communication skills, contact your school Principal or Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT) to see how to get in touch with one of our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP). Early detection and intervention is important in helping people “Speak well. Hear well. Live well.”

Speech-Language & Audiology Canada encourages schools and individuals to help communicate awareness about speech, language, communication and hearing through social media channels. Help spread the word by posting your message, photo or video to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using #communicateawareness.

Kids’ Contest
Each year, Speech-Language & Audiology Canada hosts a Kids’ Contest to encourage young people to share their experiences of working with communication health professionals.
