Principal’s Welcome Message
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13) Jesus was sent to us to be our hope and to shine His light on each one of us. Guided by the Holy Spirit together we can take action with what inspires us to share in the blessing of Catholic Education and the desire to spread God’s goodness.
As we begin a new school year let us instil a feeling of hope within one another. As a staff our mission is to maintain a positive, safe and caring environment where each person feels a sense of belonging and that they are valued for their contributions to the St. Kateri Tekakwitha school community. It is within this positive and welcoming environment that each of us can strive to achieve to our potential.
It is both an honour and a privilege to serve the St. Kateri Tekakwitha school community as your principal. I look forward to continuing to work with you as we learn and grow together as a learning community joined together by our Catholic faith. We recognize that each child is unique and we will encourage them to do, and be, the best they can be.
Working in partnership with Father Adam Wroblewicz and the St. Margaret Mary Parish team, our school families are an integral part of our school community. We will strive to maintain an environment where relationships and friendships are nurtured and where an emphasis is placed on social and emotional well-being. A positive and respectful partnership is integral to ensuring your children receive the best educational experience possible. All parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s schooling.
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, positive relationships, trust and respectful communication we will work together for the shared purpose of helping the children in our care to be the best they can be - spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Our children are our Catholic leaders of tomorrow. As we embark on this school year may we all strive for academic excellence and to be a constant living expression of God’s kindness to others.
